The role
You will work across a defined group of projects, driving them through each stage of development. That means being hands-on with scripts, outlines and bibles, giving clear notes to writers, setting up and supporting writers' rooms, and assessing incoming submissions and IP.
Alongside the creative work, you will manage timelines, deliverables and development budgets, prepare and coordinate funding applications, and contribute to the financing pathways that move projects toward production. You will work closely with writers, agents and the internal team across your project responsibilities.
What we are looking for
Experience
- A minimum of five years in scripted television development.
- Demonstrable experience assessing IP including books, scripts and materials at concept stage, managing development processes and giving clear, constructive feedback to writers.
- Working knowledge of the Australian development and funding landscape, including broadcaster and screen agency processes
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, tracking timelines, preparing submissions and coordinating across writers and the broader team
- Commercial awareness of how projects are packaged, financed and progressed toward production
- Strong organisational skills and genuine attention to detail
- A collaborative working style and real investment in getting projects made
