EP Australia was approached by eOne’s London Office to recruit a Sydney based sales Director. The hiring manager overseeing the search was based in Hong Kong. The challenge for us was just 14 days after commencement, the President & EVP were flying into Sydney hoping to interview. The role would be responsible for driving content sales across traditional linear broadcast, non-linear, and digital platforms, as well as develop format sales and co-production opportunities with local broadcasters and producers across ANZ and India. They needed someone who was a proven performer, with both deep local market experience and global reach on an expansive scale. The person needed to be self-motivated to work autonomously and have a track record outperforming their sales targets in challenging territories. ​

Create NSW is the NSW Government’s arts and cultural driver, which brings together arts, screen and culture functions in an integrated entity, and includes cultural infrastructure. There was a lack of cohesion in the Executive team and criticisms from the industry at large. The role required a true leader, who could set the standards and lead by example. Someone with exceptional connections to re-build relationships, drive collaboration, unite the team and bring trust back for the department. A successful outcome would drive the team forward to rebuild a commercially sound organisation, making smart investment decisions and creating great infrastructure and outcomes. ​
