EP Australia is once again delighted to partner with the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) in their search for a strategic, passionate Talent Development Manager to champion local writers, directors, producers and production companies to help shape the future of SA-led film, TV and online productions.

The Opportunity

The Talent Development Manager is a key role within the Production team focused on engaging with emerging and established SA writers, directors, producers and production companies to stimulate and develop future SA-led production activity.

By actively managing talent and business development programs, promotion and partnerships, you’ll supports SA talent and IP to drive a future pipeline of SA-led film, television and online screen production from diverse content creators in the state.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with SA writers, directors, producers and production companies
  • Leading talent and script development programs, providing guidance and supporting market access
  • Delivering Diversity and Inclusion, and First Nations screen strategies across talent development
  • Managing funding applications and outcomes for script and industry development programs
  • Supporting entry level an emerging talent to build a strong pipeline of SA-led screen production
  • Driving strategic partnerships, that boost sustainability and demand for SA screen businesses
  • Monitoring project milestones and ensure timely data-informed reporting and recommendations
You’ll Bring:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian and international screen sector, particularly including development pathways, funding frameworks and market trends
  • Experience managing screen talent or industry development programmes (preferably with grant or funding responsibilities)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to support underrepresented talent
  • Experience advocating for creative businesses and talent in national and international contexts
  • Organisational reporting and data analysis skills that support strategic decision making
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion with experience delivering programs for diverse communities [First Nations deaf and disabled LGBT+ CALD
