The Production Executive – Inbound and Studios is responsible for attracting interstate and international screen production to South Australia and leading the operation and utilisation of Adelaide Studios and drive production capacity in SA.
This role works across inbound production attraction, studio operations, funding programs and incentives, and managing industry and stakeholder relationships to support production activity and studio utilisation in South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Attract interstate and international (inbound) film and television production to South Australia
- Lead the operation of Adelaide Studios, including managing studio occupancy and bookings and use by clients and tenants
- Assess and manage inbound production funding applications and provide strategic recommendations aligned to South Australian production, employment and industry growth objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with producers, studios, post-production companies, industry partners and other stakeholders
- Lead and oversee the Adelaide Studios operations team, including facilities, tenancies and client services
- Track and report on production activity, studio utilisation and funding outcomes
- Contribute to workforce and diversity outcomes through production activity and funding programs
- Demonstrated experience in the screen industry, with a strong understanding of film and television production and post-production workflows
- Experience working with, or alongside, production companies, studios, post-production companies and/or screen agencies
- Experience in studio operations, production management, facilities management, and/or production attraction
- Experience working with screen production funding, incentives, rebates or public funding programs, including assessment, contracting and/or funding oversight
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including producers, studios, financiers and government agencies
- Experience leading teams and managing operational functions, including oversight of staff, facilities, services and suppliers
- Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple productions, projects and funding programs at the same time
- Ability to work within a government or similar environment, adhering to accountability, reporting and compliance requirements
