Executive Director Screen Content- Screen Queensland

On behalf of Screen Queensland, EP Australia is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Executive Director, Screen Content.

This senior executive position will lead the creative division, set strategy, and guide investment in film, television, games, and screen culture. Working as part of the executive team, the role is central to ensuring Queensland continues to grow as a leading destination for production and talent.

The opportunity As Executive Director, you will:

• Lead the creative division (Content, Production Attraction, Screen Culture).
• Oversee programs and incentives that support local projects and attract production.
• Build partnerships with streamers, broadcasters, distributors, financiers, and cultural organisations across Australia and internationally.
• Advise the CEO and Board, ensuring strategy and governance align with industry needs.
• Manage and develop a skilled team, setting clear priorities and outcomes.

• Ten or more years in senior screen industry roles.
• Strong networks nationally and internationally.
• A solid understanding of screen storytelling and the business of content.
• Experience leading teams and managing budgets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
