Perth Film Studios is WA’s first dedicated screen production facility, a purpose-built space designed to host major film and television productions from Australia and around the world. Located in Malaga and opening in early 2026, the studio will offer dry-hire soundstages, workshops, and production support spaces that meet the highest industry standards.

The Role:

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join the facilities team for the newly built Perth Film Studios. WE are looking for someone who can tackle everything from HVAC to electrical and those odd jobs that keep facilities running like clockwork. Someone who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and looking their best. So if you like variety in your work and enjoy being the go-to person who can solve problems, this role will be right up your alley.

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid skills in areas like HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulic, and general handyman work.
  • Bonus points if you’ve got experience with Building Management Systems or Lighting Control Systems (Dynalite would be fantastic) but not essential.
  • Any extra accreditation in operating LV switchgear or High Voltage Awareness is highly regarded.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Carrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance for NON-SUBCONTRACTED HVAC, Electrical, Hydraulic, Security, Access Control, and fire scope.
  • Ensure buildings are safe, functional, and well-kept by performing tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general repairs.
  • Respond to urgent repair requests and use tools and equipment to diagnose and fix problems.
  • Managing utilities – helping us stay efficient with power and water usage.
  • Providing clear reporting so nothing slips through the cracks.
This role will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, problem-solving on the fly, and making sure everything behind the scenes just works. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values initiative, reliability, and a friendly can-do approach.

Apply now and take the next step in a role where your skills really make a difference. Any enquiries please contact EP Australia - info@epaustralia.com.au

At Perth Film Studios, we value diverse perspectives and encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those from underrepresented communities. If you’re excited to contribute to a collaborative, forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you!
