Sydney or Melbourne - Lead the digital editorial strategy for NITV in this ongoing, Full Time role.

About the role 

The Managing Editor plays a lead role in the planning and execution of effective content strategies to improve brand awareness and grow audiences for NITV’s digital platforms.
If successful, you will be responsible for Digital Editorial strategy for NITV by working with the various departments within the channel. You will work closely with the content teams across NITV and SBS to identify opportunities to extend the stories from TV to online as well as create and commission highly engaging content exclusively for online channels.

You will be also responsible for the NITV websites, social media, email newsletters, Video on Demand and delivering new content that reflects Australia's Indigenous society while resonating with a broad audience. Your ability to lead people through change and foster professional development will be vital. You will guide the team to effectively collaborate across the SBS network and drive authentic engagement through unique storytelling, content innovation and continual operational improvement.

The Managing Editor ensures the planned execution of content campaigns, across digital and social platforms, and that the channel priorities are delivered on time and on budget.
About you 
The role requires strong web writing and social media experience with a strong editorial sense and the ability to find new audiences for their content.
You should be comfortable working with audience analytics and implementing benchmarks that will in turn, allow you to provide insights back to the broader business.
