We have a great opportunity for an experienced media executive with experience in content distribution to be part of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the Chief Executive. This role is responsible for the planning, development and execution of the business’ music and audio-visual content distribution strategy.
This is a fulltime position, however, we are open to hearing from people looking for part-time.
In the role:
You will represent the company and manage relationships with broadcasters and other distribution partners and strategically investigate and form alliances to enhance the company’s content distribution.
You will also:
Make recommendations as to deal structure, including product, pricing and terms.
Track the progress of internal deliverables to broadcasters and distribution partners.
Ensure contractual commitments are met by broadcasters and distribution partners.
Align worldwide content distribution with live tours, consumer product releases and marketing strategies to maximise the revenue and reach of the company’s music and audio-visual content.
Integrate the company’s third-party distribution strategy with the company’s own YouTube and social media content strategies.
Provide sound advice on music and audio-visual content distribution plans, particularly in the areas of digital, technology and new media.
Maximising and monetising a large body of music and audio-visual content and drive business growth within the parameters of brand guidelines.
Strong understanding of new media technologies and rights management.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Demonstrated experience working in content distribution or a similar area
Strategic, innovative thinking, capable of assessing short-term and longer-term company, market and industry factors to inform critical decisions.
Media knowledge and experience in dealing with the digital, technology and new media.
Possess a strong work ethic and take personal accountability for your work, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to high standards.
Highly organised and capable of managing your time and priorities to successfully meet deadlines.
Flexible and able to adapt positively to changing requirements of your work and environment.
Ability to work collaboratively and be receptive to feedback.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop beneficial relationships with external parties and contacts across the company.
