Job description

Exciting role for a Digital Content Curation Manager to work closely with the Director, FTA Channels & Digital Programming and the wider ANZ Programming team to execute the digital strategy in Australia and NZ. You will oversee the showcasing and merchandising of content on their platforms and use data and insights to shape your decisions with the aim of delivering on audience targets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the content vision across all digital platforms
  • Effectively plan and curate the content to maximise audience engagement, audience metrics and revenue opportunities across all in-product audience touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with the Programming Coordinators to ensure content is scheduled and published according to release plans, and all editorial information is in line with show positioning (eg. synopses, in product messaging)
  • Daily communication with the wider ANZ Programming teams on their schedules, sharing digital data insights and ensuring appropriate action and communicating holdbacks to allow the portfolio to effectively window the content
  • Provide guidance to the marketing, creative and operational teams to facilitate the best possible outcome from their activity in relation to digital assets (eg. brief creative and VOD ops on all images and assets that represent the show to ensure    clarity of editorial positioning)
  • Evaluate new and existing programming to effectively prioritise content on services and bring in new registrations/subscribers
  • Work closely with the digital product, digital sales and research & insights teams to shape decisions, including product development
  • Develop and test new ideas in terms of audience engagement and revenue generation opportunities and ensure these are modelled and validated for future use
  • Work with the product and broadcast teams to ensure a seamless streaming experience for users at all times and ensure all issues that may arise are logged with all relevant parties and dealt with by the appropriate people whether internal or external
Qualities Required:
  • Minimum 3 years television programming or digital content experience, preferably in a large scale commercial media environment
  • Exceptional knowledge of programming, audience, and revenue drivers across multiple genres in the ANZ  markets
  • Superb editorial judgement and an affinity for evolving viewing behaviours and preferences
  • A drive for excellence and a hunger for data
  • High level of attention to detail with a proactive attitude to continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of information and create concise and accurate key outtakes and consequent actions
  • Dynamic personality, adaptable, a high degree of professionalism
  • A collaborator, who enjoys working in a team and has the confidence to work with international colleagues across different markets and time-zones
  • Independent thinker with a strategic mindset. Able to think creatively, self-motivated and willing to take risks
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
