Our client is based in Sydney, Australia and they are an experience agency that designs and builds high concept events that tell the extraordinary stories of the most coveted brands in the world.

As Chief Creative Officer you will be a design master, a magnificent mentor and a highly skilled multitasker. You will use your expertise and guidance to lead the creative team members work together like a well-oiled machine, consistently producing genius deliverables, meeting deadlines, and landing coveted work from desirable clients.

You will have a natural eye for design and a forward drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
On a day-to-day level you will be challenged to inspire and brainstorm fresh ideas, manage deliverables, and captivate people through your understanding what excites audiences using emotion and experience. Creating moments that are truly spectacular.

Key Responsibilities

Team

  • Branding, Marketing, Design; messaging & development for the Company Brand
  • Strategic Direction of Creative Services
  • Inspire creativity through stellar communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and freelancers
  • In conjunction with the GM, develop and deliver on creative goals
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with project team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Be actively involved in hiring and training creative staff
  • Manage and cultivate career development of internal teams including creatives, designers, art directors, illustrators and copywriters.
  • Bring a sensible, robust and agile design and creative process to the company
  • Lead, mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment and develop their skill sets and problem-solving abilities.
  • Shoulder the responsibility of the quality and completion of all projects assigned to members of the creative team.
Projects
  • Oversee & manage the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring overall quality of work produced by the creative department meets and or exceeds expectations
  • Translate client marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies and oversee them to completion
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the design and production of project creative
  • Meet and deliver on visual communication and brand standards
  • Oversee client pitches and proposals
  • Meet with clients and / or senior management to present creative strategies and solutions
  • Report progress of project creative at major stages of their conception, creation, and execution
  • Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative teams
  • Write and design unique and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ needs as well as our own
  • Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team
  • Ensure designs and content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and company ideals
  • Work with internal and external strategic partners to create products using the most current industry best practice
  • Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions
  • Assess project pipeline in order to resource the creative team and bring in specialist advisors for key projects and pitches
The ideal candidate must be ambitious, a big thinker, ideas driven, and have experience in lifestyle, luxury, design & innovation or major show production. TV/ theatre experience an advantage.
